چکیده
The increasing use of titanium and its alloys in the manufacture implants results from simultaneous presence excellent biocompatibility, relatively low density, high mechanical properties, corrosion resistance. Unlike application characteristics, is classified as a difficult-to-machine material. Therefore, one constant challenge for implant manufacturers to correctly choose turning tools each application. This work aims compare useful life uncoated insert with other three types coatings on carbide tools, aluminum nitride (TiAlN), chromium (AlCrN), nitride/titanium carbonitride multilayer coating (TiN + TiCN). Turning experiments were performed using grade 4 commercially pure (typically used dental implants), testing two cutting speeds tool used. tests carried out CNC rotary head lathe, fluid abundance. showed that achieved shortest due worst properties (lower surface hardness, higher friction coefficient, lower maximum working temperature), even supposedly chemical stability titanium. On hand, TiN TiCN obtained longest among four tested inserts. main novelty this coating) did not have best coatings. In fact, it had both lowest hardness temperature. However, has coefficient structure coating, which increases resistance against wear mechanism occurred predominantly application, was attrition. Even increased speed, also result. during machining titanium, most important characteristics are pull particles.

INVESTIGATION ON THE EFFECTS OF MAGNETIC FIELD ON BROMIDE-INDUCED PITTING OF COMMERCIALLY PURE TITANIUM
Abstract: In chloride salt solutions, titanium alloys exhibit reasonably high pitting potentials as high as +10 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) at room temperatures. On the other hand, anodic pitting potentials are significantly lower in bromide solutions. In this study, pitting corrosion of commercially pure titanium in aqueous NaBr solution of 0.1 M concentration at room temperature was studied and the e...
متن کاملEnhanced superplasticity in commercially pure titanium alloy
The superplasticity of commercially pure titanium alloy at high temperature was studied and the dynamic recrystallization phenomenon of the alloy was investigated by using electron back scattered diffraction. A two-step deformation method was used to increase the ductility of the alloy from 188% to 243%. 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Evaluation of Flank Wear of Iron-rich Binder Carbide Cutting Tool in Turning of Titanium Alloy
Despite the fact that Titanium material has been considered as difficult to cut material, its usage has been increasing day by day in all engineering sectors; wherever criticality is encountered. Many studies are going on in view of increasing tool life at high cutting speed to improve productivity. In this study, attempt has been made to see the effect of iron as a partial substitution along ...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 2 after Severe Plastic Deformation
Mechanical properties and microstructures of commercially pure titanium (CP-Ti) developed by a newly designed multi-pass equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) process and cold drawing were investigated. The ECAP apparatus was developed in order to improve the efficiency of common ECAP and the performance of finished products. A much stronger CP-Ti billet was produced by using the proposed proce...
